"Thing to know about choosing a Charter
Company"
Welcome, and thanks for considering us on your next fishing
adventure. Our goal is to educate you and make sure your next
fishing trip is what you expected. Fishing can be fun and
exciting provided you have chosen the right charter company.
Don't be fooled by a so called "GOOD DEAL" charter.
The fact is your charter has to be fully licensed and permitted
to take you fishing. It also is a very good idea that they
have charter insurance for your safety. (You would not get
on a airplane if you knew that the pilot was not licensed
and insured would you?) And yes, there are a some illegal
charters running trips everyday without permits and insurance.
With fuel prices changing daily nobody can predict fuel
prices the day of your charter. That's why our charters allows
you to fish where ever you want and only pay for the fuel
you actually used. Don't get fooled with a set price charter,
that means the Capt. is most likely going to the same wore
out fishing hole everyday. Guess what happens is fuel goes
up? The customer gets the short end of the stick and the Capt
will have to change plans. instead of going 30 miles where
fishing is "red hot" you are forced to 20 miles
and slow fishing. There is a reason why some charters are
just plain cheaper then others. Remember, it is about having
the trip of a lifetime and all of these things play a big
key factor when choosing the right charter. And yes, "YOU
GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" trust us on this.
Here are some tips to ask
when shopping for the right Charter.
Q) Are you fully licensed,
permitted and have charter insurance?
Without the right permits U.S.C.G.
can take away your fish, No ins. The customer is not covered.
Q) Are you chartering full or part
time?
Some part time guys don't have the
experience and the fish knowledge of full time professional
Q) Do you have a deckhand to help
out?
Deckhands do so much to help I don't
know why anyone would go without one.
Q) What Year boat and what speed
does it do?
Boats going below 22kts make for
a lot of boat riding and less fishing. Unless you fish in
close. You do not want to fish on a boat older than 15 yrs
old
Q) Is that the picture of the boat
and is it the actual boat we will be fishing on?
Sometimes the picture you see is
not the boat you will be fishing on? Or an old Picture.
Q) Are you the Capt. or am I talking
with someone different?
Make sure you talk to who ever you
will be spending the day with, you don't want mister grumpy
with a bad attitude.
Q) Could you show your permits, charter
insurance and drug free card before we leave the dock? If
they are legal they should be more than happy to show you
everything.
Q) What size boat will we be going
fishing on?
Any Boat below 30' for 6 people offshore
is going to be crowed.
